We had corn for dinner one night and Sofie decided to butter her corn herself. This is how much she had used when I noticed and made her stop.
This year, I thought Sofie's birthday was alot of fun. She is finally old enough to get excited about it and actually enjoy opening presents and eating her cake. The night before her birthday, Jason and I cut out letters to make this little banner for her. It's not much. We just cut it out of Disney's Cars wrapping paper. So funny that my two year old little girl loves Cars and had a Cars themed birthday. No princesses for us I guess.
I had already wrapped most of Sofie's presents before I got the Cars paper but I did wrap one present in it. The morning of her birthday she woke up and went downstairs by herself. I had set out her presents on the table. The one wrapped in Cars paper is the one she brought up to us and said "open this!" After we got up she unwrapped the rest and loved it!
Here she is playing with some of her new toys.
My grandma made a cake for Sofie so we let her help decorate it Saturday night since we were having her birthday party with family the next day.
She loved it when we sang to her and she got to blow out the candle.
And here is her Cars themed cake. It's definitely not perfect and was way to sugary for me but it did turn out kinda cute and Sofie loves the cars from it and thats all that matters!
It's so hard to believe that my baby girl is already two. She is such a funny girl with alot of personality. She keeps me laughing all day and at the same time she is always surprising me with how sweet she can be. I love it when she asks "what matter baby?" when Wiatt cries or when she copies me and goes up to Wiatt and says "cute little man" and then gives him kisses. Tonight she said "see you in the morning baby Wiatt". I love when she says "I love you Mommy" and I couldn't help but smile when one morning she woke up and came in bed with me as Jason was getting ready for work and when he left she kept yelling "Bye Daddy! Love you Daddy! Bye Daddy! Love you Daddy!" over and over. So sweet! She loves to sing and the two songs she sings the most are I am a Child of God and No More Monkeys Jumping on The Bed. I can't believe how fast time flies but we are so grateful to have her in our family. We love you Sofie Lou!
