Sofie... meet... Sofie!

We have this mirror that is just sitting in the package (one day we will put it up!) and so I decided to sit Sofie in front of it to see what she would do. Her reaction is just so cute and I was lucky enough to catch it on video!



My favorite part is when she puts her face right up to the mirror. She is just so curious about that Sofie-in-the-mirror! Here are some other pictures we took this week.





I took these pictures of Sofie a few weeks ago. She was taking a nap and I went in to check on her and this is how I found her!


She had just buried herself in the blankets and her cute little legs were sticking out and she was just waving them in the air. She must have heard me because she all of a sudden threw the blankets off her face and looked at me. Like this...


It was just so funny! We find her in all sorts of funny positions! She keeps us guessing and makes life interesting and fun! We love her and I just can't imagine life without her!

This Weeks Pics

Well, there goes another week. Here are some of my favorite pictures that we took this week.


We call this the farmer Sofie look. Funny how she just hooked her fingers through her overalls.

This is at Jason's softball game last Tuesday. She fell asleep so I put her in her car seat and this is what I saw two minutes later. Those huge blue eyes, wide awake, just staring at me!


How precious! Sleeping with Daddy! Or I guess sleeping while Daddy plays the Wii but still, how cute! And I just have to say how amazing Jason is! He took care of Sofie all night Friday and all day Saturday to let me get a little sleep (I was pretty grumpy) and to let me get some homework done.




These were today in her darling little sunday dress. So fun! And you can't really tell but she is getting a little hair! Yeah! Even if it is so light you can barely see it, it is there!


Sofie was so sweet and decide to just chill with me on the couch. That doesn't happen very often. She is always moving, no time to hold still and sit by mama! Too much to do and see!


And last but not least, this is what Sofie tried to do while Mommy was getting Sofie's bath ready and Daddy was on the phone. See?! We just can't sit still!

Dancing Queen

This video shows Sofie's newest thing. She looks like she's doing some head-banging rocking out to her favorite song. She does it all the time and it is so funny! So cute! Oh and there is a little part in the video where I thought she was gonna tip over and so I rushed to catch her and kinda messed up the video. But overall it shows her cute little thing!



We also took these pictures today. She just looks so sweet and innocent. You would never know that earlier today she had a major meltdown which of course led to me having a major meltdown. I wanted to know where I could take her back, just for a few hours, because I just couldn't handle being the mom right then. (My baby screaming for what seems like hours on end no matter what I do, can do that to me) But then she was SOOOOO good at church. She didn't fuss or scream or have a major poop or want to eat every hour. She was PERFECT! I think she knows when she frustrates me and so she works to redeem herself. Really all it takes is one sweet look from her and she can melt my heart again and again. And so tonight as I sat rocking her in her room, reading to her and putting her to sleep, I just couldn't help thinking that I LOVE being a mom. And I love being Sofie's mom. I'm so blessed! I realized then that the more effort I put into making her happy and spending time with her and worrying less about doing what I want to do then I love being a mom more than anything. It's the best thing to be when you grow up! Nothing makes me happier!




Today she also figured out that she can roll across the floor. I don't think she realized she can roll towards that she wants but I have a feeling it won't be long! Then she'll be all over!
