Life At Our House

We are slowly adjusting to our new life. While in the hospital, Wiatt had to spend some time on the bilirubin lights. The next day they took him off them and we were able to bring him home. They checked his levels the day after that and his levels were elevated again and we had to put him on the lights again. That was Sunday and today he is still on them. They also had me stop nursing today for 24 hours and give him formula only. They are testing to see if his jaundice is breast milk induced. I've had a hard time with that but then I captured this picture. It helped me to find something to be positive about!

Sofie has enjoyed being able to help with feeding Wiatt. The smile on her face tells it all.

When we got home from the hospital, Jason's parents brought us some doughnuts. This is how we found Sofie.

This is what she was doing.

I guess she was worried about not getting any so she decided to mark her doughnuts, which happened to be all but one! And I think she only left the one because we caught her in time!

You can tell that Sofie just loves her new little brother. I have never been able to get so many pictures with her smiling!

And another funny picture of the day, it is kinda hard to see but Sofie has the straws from both juice boxes in her mouth. We offered one to her with her lunch and she didn't want any so Jase and I got ones for ourselves. We set them down and turned our backs and this is what happened!

I'm trying to be good and take plently of pictures so hopefully we'll have more to post soon!

Tanner was the same with the jaundice and had to be readmitted. They made me stop breast feeding and that helped a ton.. He had to be in that little suitcase of lights all the time.. it was sad but he got better quick... Those pictures are so cute of Sofie! You've got your hands full!
